Kanye West denies using AI on album Bully

Kanye West announced on X that his upcoming album Bully contains no AI, sharing a 13-song tracklist. The statement contradicts his earlier comments praising AI as a music tool. Associates have backed his latest claim.

Kanye West shared a tracklist for his long-teased album Bully on X on March 25, captioning it 'BULLY ON THE WAY NO AI.' The list includes 13 songs, such as previously previewed tracks 'Beauty and the Beast' and 'Preacher Man.' This post directly rebukes suggestions that the project relies on artificial intelligence in its production. West first teased Bully in September 2024 with a performance of 'Beauty and the Beast' in Haikou, China. In 2025, he released a short film titled Bully V1 on X, featuring his son Saint West and previewing parts of the tracklist. West had announced a March 20 release through independent label Gamma, but that date passed without the album dropping, and no new date has been confirmed. The declaration contrasts with West's 2025 interview with Justin LaBoy, where he described incorporating AI 'the same way I incorporated Auto-Tune. It’s a tool, not a replacement.' He demonstrated the Audimee platform for AI vocal transformation and explained using AI stem splitters, telling his engineer John Scott, known as JS, to 'AI' samples for isolation of vocals, bass, and drums. West stated, 'It's time for me to explain to people the power of AI in music.' However, associates including music manager Peter Jideonwo and former Yeezy chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos have affirmed that Bully involves no AI. As first reported by Pitchfork.
