Kim Si-woo and Im Sung-jae set to tee off at Masters

Kim Si-woo and Im Sung-jae will compete at this week's Masters tournament for the green jacket. South Korea has had at least one player at Augusta National every year since 2003. The field includes 91 players teeing off starting Thursday.

Kim Si-woo, 30, and Im Sung-jae, 28, are the two South Korean players competing at Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia for the iconic green jacket. The first major of the PGA Tour season starts Thursday with a 91-player field that includes former Masters champions, the top 12 from the 2025 Masters, recent major winners, and players inside the top 50 world rankings.

World No. 28 Kim returns for his ninth Masters appearance after missing last year. His best finish at Augusta is a tie for 12th in 2021. The four-time PGA Tour winner tied for 10th at the Valero Texas Open tune-up, marking his fourth top-10 of the 2026 season. He leads South Koreans on the money list at over $2.5 million (14th overall) and FedEx Cup standings at No. 15.

Im, with two PGA Tour titles, debuted this season in March after a wrist injury. He made two cuts in four starts, including a tie for fourth at the Valspar Championship where he held the 54-hole lead. Despite dropping to No. 71 in the world, he qualified via a tie for fifth last year. In six prior Masters, he has three top-10s, including a tie for second in 2020—the best by a South Korean. Last year, he was one of two players to shoot under par in all four rounds.

South Korea has featured at least one player at the Masters every year since 2003.
