Kenneth Llover and Michael Angeletti both cleared the weigh-in for their IBF bantamweight world title eliminator scheduled for Saturday in Nagoya, Japan.
Llover weighed in at 117.7 pounds while Angeletti registered 117.5 pounds ahead of their 12-round bout on Friday. The winner will become the mandatory challenger for IBF bantamweight champion Jose Salas Reyes. Llover holds a 17-0 record with 12 knockouts and is the IBF’s top contender. Angeletti is 14-0 with eight knockouts and ranked sixth by the organization. In a separate bout, John Riel Casimero weighed 123.4 pounds for his 10-round fight against Luis Nery, who came in at 127.2 pounds. Casimero decided to proceed despite the weight miss, with Nery set to wear heavier gloves.
