Madbouly opens industrial expansions in automotive, pharmaceutical, and food sectors

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated new production lines during a tour of manufacturing facilities in 6th of October City on 8 June 2026.

Madbouly began at Nissan Egypt, where he attended the rollout of the first locally assembled Nissan Magnite produced in Africa. The prime minister said the milestone reflected the state’s commitment to deepening local manufacturing and supporting a competitive automotive industry. Nissan has invested more than $276m in Egypt since 2004 and produced approximately 30,000 vehicles last year. The prime minister next visited Nerhadou International for Pharmaceuticals and Nutritional Supplements. Company CEO Mohamed Shelbi reported investments of approximately EGP 2bn, a workforce of 1,170, and annual capacity of 600 million capsules plus 840 million orally dissolving films. The firm exports 112 products to around 15 countries. Madbouly also inaugurated a new Maggi Double Minced line at Nestlé Egypt. The line has an annual capacity of 2,000 tonnes, with half designated for export. Nestlé Egypt Chairperson and CEO Tarek Kamel noted cumulative investments of approximately EGP 7bn and operations supporting more than 7,000 direct and indirect jobs.
