Medvedev defeated Tirante 6-3, 6-2 in the round of 16 on May 13. He highlighted his undefeated record on the Campo Centrale since his last loss there in 2019 to Nick Kyrgios. Medvedev described the court as having medium speed that suits his game and noted he would play his remaining matches on it starting from the quarterfinals.
