Megan Moroney announces third album Cloud 9

Country star Megan Moroney has revealed details of her highly anticipated third studio album, titled Cloud 9, set for release on February 20, 2026. The announcement follows the success of her 2024 sophomore album Am I Okay? and includes pre-orders for a signature pink vinyl edition. Moroney described the project as a confident evolution of her sound, rooted in personal experiences.

Album Details

Megan Moroney's Cloud 9 marks her third studio LP, succeeding the gold-certified Am I Okay?, which debuted as 2024's third-biggest Billboard 200 entry by a female country artist and featured hits like the 2x Platinum title track and Platinum 'No Caller ID.' The new album shifts to a pink aesthetic, introduced via a teaser video on November 9, 2025, after Moroney went dark on social media. Pre-orders for the main vinyl edition in 'Megan's Signature Pink' are now available through Sony Music Nashville.

Megan Moroney's Comments

'I am so excited for my fans and I to dive into this new world of Cloud 9 together,' Moroney shared. 'Similar to the first two albums, it's all written about honest, personal experiences, but these songs were written by the strongest, most confident version of myself I've ever been. My feet feel firmly planted in my artistry and it was fun to play around sonically, while still sticking to my roots of what my fans and I love. Cloud 9 is a state of mind, and I have no doubt this will be the best chapter yet.' Earlier hints suggested a lighter, more carefree vibe compared to her 'emo cowgirl' style, with some heart-wrenching elements retained.

Tracklist Highlights

Cloud 9 features recent singles 'Beautiful Things,' released in October 2025 and praised as an 'essential track for young women,' and '6 Months Later,' a post-breakup anthem from June 2025 that reached the Top 10 at country radio. The album also includes the collaboration 'You Had To Be There' with Kenny Chesney. Moroney has teased potential future collabs, naming Ed Sheeran as an inspiration, though no plans are confirmed. An unreleased track 'Wedding Dress' may appear, based on prior rumors.

Tour and Awards Context

The announcement comes as Moroney wraps her sold-out Am I Okay? Tour with a live album release and recent Australia performances, including at Ridin' Hearts Festival. She leads nominations at the 59th Annual CMA Awards on November 19, 2025, with six nods including Album of the Year for Am I Okay?.
