Metrópoles Catwalk ends successfully in Brasília

The first edition of Metrópoles Catwalk concluded on Friday (7/11), marking the success of the fashion event in Brasília. The final day featured runway shows from national and local brands, plus a talk on image consulting. Held at Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro, the event showcased 70 talents with free entry.

The Metrópoles Catwalk, from November 3 to 7, energized Brasília's fashion scene in the foyer of Sala Villa-Lobos at Teatro Nacional Claudio Santoro. The debut edition, organized by Instituto Inbras in partnership with Metrópoles and supported by the Secretariat of Tourism, Secretariat of Culture of the Federal District, and Banco BRB, was one of the first major events there since its reopening.

On the final day, November 7, the runway shows featured Le Blog (from São Paulo, invited by multimarcas Hills), showcasing versatile fashion from everyday to party wear; Telaio, with Brazilian influences and global touches; Bernardo Rostand, focused on the classic and idyllic; and Sergio Calado, exploring the human relationship with work. Closing were Biruta, by Regina Segredo, with sea and Northeastern culture references for year-end celebrations, including red, satin fabrics, fringes, and marine animal details like lobsters; and Louback, by Louback Jacoby Fernandes, with the Eterna collection, blending classic silhouettes, marked waists, elegance, and modernity, celebrating female diversity.

The shows were broadcast live and are available on the Metrópoles Entretê YouTube channel. Earlier, a talk on image consulting, moderated by Bianca Tôrres, featured Helô Drummond, Daniela Kniggendorf, and Renata Cotrim from Projeto Estilo A3. They stressed it as a communication tool for life transitions, like postpartum or career promotions, with increased demand post-Covid-19 pandemic.

Throughout the event, three exhibitions blended fashion and art: Redefinindo Curvas by Júlia Theóphilo, winner of the 3rd Desafio Sou de Algodão + Casa de Criadores, addressing her battle with scoliosis; Construção by Guto Carvalhoneto, on creative evolution; and Corpo-Objeto, with accessories from Mon Pair, Barbarah, Studio Drèa, and Mil Linhas. The event gathered 70 talents, 40 local, including national brands like Guto Carvalhoneto, Aluf, Gloria Coelho, and Reinaldo Lourenço, and models such as Isabeli Fontana and Caroline Trentini.
