New York band Model/Actriz has released a new three-track EP titled Swan Songs, following their 2025 album Pirouette. The group also announced a extensive 2026 tour starting March 25 in Durham, North Carolina.
Model/Actriz, a band from New York, released their new EP Swan Songs on March 23, less than a year after their album Pirouette. The EP features three tracks: the propulsive, industrial-inspired 'Glassman' and 'Majesty,' with the somber 'Thank You By Dido' in between, forming what frontman Cole Haden described as a 'moody vignette.' In a press statement, Haden said, 'Swan Songs is a capsule of experiments made in the aftermath of the Pirouette sessions that by chance formed this moody vignette that we’re happy to share.' The EP emerged from sessions for the previous album, capturing experimental leftovers that coalesced into a cohesive release. Alongside the EP, Model/Actriz revealed dates for a 2026 tour spanning North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom. The tour begins on March 25 at Motorco Music Hall in Durham, North Carolina, followed by stops including Big Ears Festival in Knoxville on March 27, Coachella in Indio, California on April 12 and 19, and festivals like Primavera Sound in Barcelona and NOS Primavera Sound in Porto. It concludes on September 6 at Edinburgh Psych Fest in the United Kingdom. Full dates include venues across multiple cities, such as Thalia Hall in Chicago on April 25 and La Station in Paris on June 9. Pitchfork previously interviewed the post-punk band, highlighting their approach to confrontation as an opportunity for intimacy.
