Officers from Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested a man as the alleged perpetrator of a violent death in Barcelona’s Sant Andreu district. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. on Saturday after the 112 emergency line received a report of a person wounded by a bladed weapon in a public street. Medical emergency services (SEM) were unable to save the victim’s life.
Mossos d’Esquadra reported the arrest of the alleged perpetrator shortly after the incident, which took place midday in Barcelona’s Sant Andreu district.
The 112 emergency center received the call reporting a person stabbed in a public street around 2 p.m. Officers from Mossos and personnel from the Sistema de Emergencias Médicas (SEM) rushed to the scene but were unable to revive the injured man.
Catalan police confirmed the detainee as the presumed author of the murder. No further details have been released on the identities of those involved or the exact circumstances of the event.
