Nintendo announces Wario Ware-inspired game Pictonico! for mobile

Nintendo has revealed Pictonico!, a new mobile game inspired by the Wario Ware series. The title will launch on May 28 for iOS and Android devices as a free-to-start experience with optional DLC packs.

The game is being developed with help from Intelligent Systems and features short minigames built around photos taken on a player's phone camera. Users can apply filters and interactive mechanics to create playful experiences suitable for parties or casual play. A free demo version with three minigames will be available at launch, allowing players to sample the format before buying additional game volumes through in-app purchases.
