NMIXX member Haewon spoke out after her new short haircut drew mixed fan reactions during the group's airport departure. The idol reassured supporters that the style would not appear in performances or fan events.
On the afternoon of July 9, NMIXX departed Incheon International Airport for the first stop of their world tour EPISODE 1: ZERO FRONTIER in Kaohsiung. Haewon appeared with a dramatically short haircut paired with black horn-rimmed glasses and a sagging pants style.
Fans posted a range of comments online, including surprise that the cut might be a wig and questions over whether it was too rough, alongside positive notes that the look suited her.
Haewon later posted on a fan platform that she would not perform on stage with the haircut and the same applied to fan sign events. She added that growing the hair back perfectly could take about three years and asked fans to stay by her side.
