Paul Heyman has outlined his present duties in WWE during a recent interview. He serves as a creative liaison and handles business matters for select talent. Heyman also contrasted his experiences under Paul Levesque with those under Vince McMahon.
Heyman described his responsibilities as including talent liaison work and creative coordination. He noted that much of the creative process flows through him in both directions. He also assists the creative team from Gorilla Position during shows such as WWE SmackDown.
In the interview Heyman highlighted differences in leadership styles. He stated that Levesque operates in a more collaborative manner amid multiple stakeholders. Heyman added that the creative head must now satisfy distributors and partners in addition to other demands.
Heyman praised Levesque for adapting to changing conditions. He said Levesque evaluates storylines for logic, box office potential, and character development. Heyman concluded that he would hire Levesque to run a new wrestling company.
