Minas Gerais Military Police arrested two men aged 21 and 23 on the night of April 16 in Poços de Caldas, southern Minas Gerais, in one of the city's largest drug seizures. Triggered by an anonymous tip, the operation seized over 40 kg of marijuana, ecstasy, LSD and other substances, plus R$ 26,000 in cash and stolen vehicles.
The police operation started after an anonymous tip about a large drug storage and distribution scheme in Poços de Caldas, including 'delivery'-style sales and stolen cars. Minas Gerais Military Police searched three homes in different neighborhoods.
In the first residence, they found a vehicle with tampered plate and chassis, confirmed stolen in São Paulo. In the other two properties, described as a 'trafficking hub,' officers arrested the two suspects red-handed and seized a large quantity of drugs.
Items confiscated included 6 large bars and 39 tablets of marijuana, 48 THC vapes, 18 hashish tablets, 3 cocaine portions, 417 LSD micropoints, 1,130 ecstasy pills, and 3 loló bottles. Also taken were over R$ 26,000 in cash, 11 precision scales, packaging materials, cellphones, and another cloned stolen car from Minas Gerais.
The suspects were taken to the Civil Police Station, where they will face charges for drug trafficking and receiving stolen goods. The bust ranks among the city's largest, similar to 144 kg of marijuana seized in September 2025 and operations in February and April 2026. Police urge anonymous tips via 190.
