The Rajasthan Agriculture Department signed 32 non-financial MoUs on Friday with institutions including the National Institute of Agricultural Marketing, 10 agritech startups and 20 civil society organisations to promote natural farming and related goals.
The agreements aim to support climate-resilient agriculture, modern technologies, water conservation and higher farmer incomes. A Khet Bachao Abhiyan campaign is already under way to position Rajasthan as a centre for natural and organic farming.
Principal Agriculture Secretary Manju Rajpal said strong collaboration among government, research bodies, startups and farmers was needed to tackle sector challenges. She noted the partnerships would cover training, certification, marketing and empowerment of women and tribal farmers.
State Agriculture Commissioner Naresh Kumar Goyal said farmers would gain skills in natural techniques that cut costs, raise productivity and improve soil and water health. Small and marginal farmers are expected to benefit most from the training and local support networks.
