The National Republican Senatorial Committee has begun running a new round of ads in six competitive states backing GOP Senate candidates, with messaging centered on affordability and Republican-backed tax cuts.
The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) is launching an advertising push in North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, Alaska, and New Hampshire, according to an article published May 6, 2026 by The Daily Wire.
The ads focus on affordability and blame Democrats’ past spending for higher prices, while promoting tax cuts enacted in President Donald Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill.” In one ad cited by The Daily Wire, the Michigan spot says:
“Joe Biden and Democrats’ wasteful spending wrecked the economy … But Mike Rogers is fighting back – working to cut government spending and advocating for working-class Americans.”
The ads also claim Republicans are “making life more affordable,” pointing to “lower costs on groceries, housing, and utilities,” and “huge tax cuts for hard-working families,” The Daily Wire reported.
Beyond Michigan, The Daily Wire said the same script is used in ads supporting John Husted in Ohio, Dan Sullivan in Alaska, Michael Whatley in North Carolina, Ashley Hinson in Iowa, and John Sununu in New Hampshire.
