Veteran UK dubstep producer Rusko has announced an indefinite hiatus from music and touring. The decision follows a mental breakdown that prompted him to prioritize healing and recovery.
In a statement shared on social media on July 17, Rusko explained that he had been ignoring his mental and physical health for too long. He described reaching a breakdown point and said he needed to step away from the industry for the foreseeable future.
Rusko apologized to fans for canceling upcoming shows. He expressed gratitude for their long-term support and noted that he could not guarantee a return, though he hoped it would be a temporary break rather than a permanent goodbye.
The producer previously took a hiatus in 2017 during treatment for stomach cancer. He has released two studio albums that charted on Billboard's Top Dance Albums list and collaborated on the track "Professor X" earlier this year.
