Educator Sonam Wangchuk released a video on the 20th day of his hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, stating that 20 percent of his body has been lost. He appealed for a Parliament march on July 20.
Sonam Wangchuk said in a video released on Friday night, "Yes, I am still alive. Nearly 20 percent of my body is gone." He repeated the demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, citing historical cases where governments fell over onion prices.
Wangchuk appealed to the public to join the 'Chalo Sansad' march on July 20. He said the strength lies in the numbers of people.
Several leaders including Congress MP Pawan Khera and NCP MP Supriya Sule visited Jantar Mantar on Friday to express support. Doctors have described his condition as critical.
