State Council appoints one official and removes two

China's State Council announced the appointment of one official and removal of two others on Wednesday.

Xinhua News Agency reported that the State Council made personnel adjustments. Jiang Wensheng was appointed deputy secretary-general of the State Council. He was also removed from his post as vice minister of agriculture and rural affairs.

Yang Weiqun was named national security technical adviser of the Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Sheng Qiuping was removed from the post of vice minister of commerce.
