The Pittsburgh Steelers completed their fourth consecutive training camp practice on Saturday at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania. The session marked the end of the NFL’s ramp-up period ahead of padded work on Monday.
Safeties DeShon Elliott and Darnell Savage participated in individual drills but sat out team sessions. Jalen Ramsey remained on the active/PUP list while stretching and jogging lightly. Donte Kent continued rehab work.
The team is expected to sign safety Rayshawn Jenkins once his deal is finalized. Rookie safety Robert Spears-Jennings received first-team reps in the absences.
T.J. Watt intercepted a pass from Aaron Rodgers during team periods. Asante Samuel Jr. and Brandin Echols also made plays in coverage. Rookies including Max Iheanachor and Germie Bernard rotated with starters.
Head coach Mike McCarthy and players including Jaquan Brisker and Jaylen Warren spoke after practice about defensive emphasis on turnovers and overall camp progress.
