Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets ruled suicide in April

Darrell Sheets, the 67-year-old reality star known for Storage Wars, died by suicide on April 22 at his Lake Havasu home. His girlfriend called 911 after hearing a gunshot and told police she believed he had taken his life.

TMZ obtained the 911 call where the girlfriend said she heard a gun go off and noted Sheets had been frustrated with insomnia and issues with his kid. She added he had never threatened suicide.

Police found his body with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Body cam footage shows an officer who was a fan recognizing Sheets and mentioning the show and the truck used on it.

Paramedics could not immediately pronounce him dead because he was still holding the revolver with his finger on the trigger as rigor mortis set in. The medical examiner later ruled the death a suicide.
