Three luxury hotels lose palace status in France

The Palace commission has withdrawn its prestigious distinction from three luxury hotels for the first time. They have been downgraded to five-star establishments.

The commission responsible for awarding the Palace label judged that the three establishments no longer met the required criteria of excellence. This decision marks a change since the status was created in 2010.

According to the information, one of the hotels concerned is located in Paris. The full names of the establishments have not yet been made public.

Tourism minister Serge Papin will present the new Collection Palace 2026 on June 2. This announcement will officialize the changes made to the list of French palaces.
