The UFC has announced that Jiri Prochazka will face Carlos Ulberg for the vacant light heavyweight championship in the main event of UFC 327 on April 11, 2026, at the Kaseya Center in Miami. The title became available after Alex Pereira vacated it to pursue opportunities in the heavyweight division. The card also features a flyweight title defense by champion Joshua Van against Tatsuro Taira.
UFC president Dana White revealed the full fight card for UFC 327 during a live Instagram session on February 28, 2026. The event, scheduled for April 11, 2026, at Miami's Kaseya Center, will be broadcast on Paramount+ with prelims at 7 p.m. ET and the main card at 9 p.m. ET.
The headline bout pits former champion Jiri Prochazka, ranked No. 2 in the light heavyweight division, against No. 3-ranked Carlos Ulberg for the vacant 205-pound title. Prochazka, who captured the belt with a submission victory over Glover Teixeira at UFC 275 in 2022, lost it to Pereira in his first defense and again in a rematch at UFC 303. He holds a 6-2 UFC record, with recent third-round knockouts over Khalil Rountree Jr. and Jamahal Hill. Ulberg, with a 13-1 professional record, suffered a knockout loss in his 2021 UFC debut but has since won nine straight fights, including a first-round knockout of Dominick Reyes in September 2025.
Pereira vacated the title after reclaiming it with a first-round knockout of Magomed Ankalaev, aiming to become the first three-division UFC champion by moving to heavyweight, where he is reportedly slated to face Ciryl Gane for an interim title at UFC 328.
The co-main event sees flyweight champion Joshua Van defending his title for the first time against No. 3-ranked Tatsuro Taira. Van won the belt at UFC 323 when Alexandre Pantoja suffered a broken arm during their bout. The main card also includes Curtis Blaydes vs. Josh Hokit in heavyweight, Beneil Dariush vs. Manuel Torres in lightweight, and Dominick Reyes vs. Johnny Walker in light heavyweight.
Prelims feature notable matchups such as Azamat Murzakanov vs. Paulo Costa in light heavyweight—Costa's debut at 205 pounds—Patricio Pitbull vs. Aaron Pico in featherweight, a long-anticipated clash from their Bellator days, and Mateusz Gamrot vs. Esteban Ribovics in lightweight, a rematch after their initial contest. Other bouts include Cub Swanson vs. Nate Landwehr, Kevin Holland vs. Randy Brown, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Vicente Luque (with Gastelum replacing Kyle Daukaus), Tatiana Suarez vs. Loopy Godinez in women's strawweight, and Christopher Alvidrez vs. Francisco Prado in welterweight.
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which White described as featuring a 'violent' lineup.
