US and Iran sign framework agreement to end Middle East war

A framework agreement was signed electronically Sunday between the United States and Iran to end hostilities in the Middle East. The announcement came on the eve of the G7 summit in Evian-les-Bains, France.

Donald Trump, his Vice President J.D. Vance and Iranian negotiator Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signed the framework agreement electronically. The US President stated that the Strait of Hormuz would be fully open by Friday.

Emmanuel Macron said France and the United Kingdom were ready to deploy an international maritime mission to secure the strait, with support from Italy and the Netherlands. The aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle could be engaged within two or three days after confirmation of the agreement.

Iran’s leaders act like they have won and are not under pressure. Their conditions for an MOU: release $24 billion in their frozen assets and impose a ceasefire in Lebanon without Hezbollah withdrawing from the south or disarming. They clearly believe time on their side.
