Wrestler Tempo dies in motorcycle accident in Mexico City

Independent wrestler Tempo died on Friday, May 29, after being run over by a truck in Iztacalco, Mexico City.

The incident occurred around 15:30 on Eje 3 Oriente, Francisco del Paso y Troncoso, in Barrio Los Reyes. Tempo was riding a green and black motorcycle when he lost control and skidded.

According to Mexico City’s Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana, the wrestler ended up on the asphalt and was hit by a 3.5-ton truck. Authorities cordoned off the area and began an investigation using footage from C2 and C5 surveillance cameras.

Tempo, whose real name was Tony Cirio Jr. and who was known as ‘El Amo del Tiempo’, competed on the independent circuit and trained young wrestlers.
