A man has died in a fire at a nursing home in Hamburg's Steilshoop district. A 93-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital, while five others sustained minor injuries. Around 100 firefighters responded and rescued 32 people.
A burning electric vehicle charging station in a garage in Atzlenbach near Leverkusen triggered a major fire department response. The flames spread to a residential house, which was completely destroyed. One resident suffered minor injuries.
