Relatives reported a 12-year-old girl missing in the Uppsala area just before 5pm on Monday afternoon. Police began an active search that evening and overnight into Tuesday, using dog patrols among other methods. They checked hospitals and similar locations and stationed personnel at places she might be, as Tobias Ahlén Svalbro, police spokesperson, said earlier: “We have checked hospitals and similar places as well as had personnel at places where she might be.” Just before 6pm on Tuesday evening, police announced the girl had been found and was doing well. No further details were given out of consideration for the girl and her family. There was no suspicion of crime behind the disappearance.
