Un corps de bébé retrouvé dans la Maine à Angers

Le corps d’un bébé a été retrouvé jeudi soir dans la Maine à Angers. Il pourrait s’agir du nourrisson de quatre jours recherché après la tentative de suicide de sa mère.

Le procureur de la République d’Angers, Éric Bouillard, a déclaré que le corps correspond en âge et en corpulence à celui du nourrisson recherché. Il a précisé qu’il était trop tôt pour confirmer l’identité et que des examens médicaux étaient nécessaires.

Le bébé a été découvert par une personne pratiquant le paddle sur la rivière. Des examens détermineront s’il s’agit d’une noyade ou si la mort est survenue auparavant.

La mère avait quitté son domicile d’Avrillé jeudi vers 4 heures. Elle a tenté de se donner la mort en sautant d’un pont à Château-Gontier, dans la Mayenne. Elle est gravement blessée mais pas en danger de mort.

Une enquête pour disparition inquiétante avait été ouverte. Des policiers, pompiers et gendarmes ont activement recherché l’enfant tout au long de la journée de jeudi.
