Dans une interview avec le magazine australien Heavy, rapporté par Blabbermouth, Dani Filth a discuté de la réception du quatorzième album studio de Cradle of Filth, 'The Screaming Of The Valkyries', sorti en mars 2025 sur Napalm Records. Filth a exprimé sa satisfaction quant à la réponse des fans, déclarant : « Yeah. Above and beyond. “The Screaming Of The Valkyries”, it’s really charted high. The fans love it. It’s the next step up in our evolutionary step. » Filth a révélé que le groupe a presque terminé l'écriture de leur prochain disque, qu'il a décrit comme portant « that to the next level ». Il a noté : « The next record, which, obviously, we’re writing at the moment — [we’re] almost finished writing; [we’re] gonna be in the studio in about three weeks. » L'interview, publiée le 8 mars 2026, indique que l'enregistrement commencera autour de fin mars ou début avril 2026. Rétrospectivement sur les dernières années, Filth a mis en avant la productivité du groupe post-confinement : « We’ve had a fantastic few years. Post lockdown, obviously there’s been a lot of catching up to do. This is why we’ve been touring a lot, why we’ve been very creative. Yeah, I think we’re definitely walking into the right direction. The fans seem to like it, and that sort of matters. » Concernant le son du nouvel album, Filth s'est montré prudent, disant qu'il est trop tôt pour discuter des détails. « Well, yeah, we’ve moved the goalposts in all kinds of directions. It’s very hard to stipulate exactly what we’re doing. And, really, to be honest, it’s too early to be talking about our new album. We haven’t even decided — we’ve got a huge amount of tracks and we haven’t even decided which ones are going on the record as yet. That’s up to me and the producer. Next week he’s gonna come and visit my house and we’re gonna siphon through everything and decide what’s a keeper and what isn’t, what might need development. » Le groupe a une série de spectacles à venir prévus aux États-Unis, en Europe et en Australie en 2026, incluant des apparitions à des festivals comme Welcome to Rockville et Graspop Metal Meeting.
