19-year-old striker Felicia Schröder is leaving BK Häcken for Real Madrid. The transfer fee exceeds 15 million kronor and breaks the previous world record.

Felicia Schröder signed the contract with Real Madrid on Tuesday after a mandatory medical check. SVT Sport was present outside the Santiago Bernabéu stadium where she confirmed the decision.

The transfer fee remains secret but sources state it exceeds the previous record of around 14 million kronor set by Lizbeth Jacqueline Ovalle last year. BK Häcken football chief Martin Ericsson called the deal historic.

Schröder will move to Spain during the summer. She said the club's plan felt right and that she is already practising Spanish.

A documentary about the transfer airs on SVT Play on Sunday.
