Schroer est accusé de deux chefs d'accusation pour menaces par communication interétatique et menaces contre un ancien responsable fédéral. Les procureurs affirment qu'il a publié ces commentaires sur X le 3 avril, incluant des messages adressés à Noem tels que : « Je vais vous crever les yeux avec un couteau émoussé », « Je vais vous faire exploser l'œsophage à l'arrière du cou avec une balle de calibre 12 » et « nous mettrons votre tête sur un pieu ». Une autre publication aurait déclaré : « nous allons te tuer Pam », visant Bondi.
