Former Brynäs player Greg Scott is taking his first coaching role with the Victoria Grizzlies in Canada's BCHL junior league. The move marks a return to his hometown.
Greg Scott has ended his playing career and will join the coaching staff of the Victoria Grizzlies. The 37-year-old Canadian spent ten seasons with Brynäs, appearing in 542 games and recording 311 points.
Scott began his junior career in Victoria, playing seven games for the team's predecessor club Victoria Salsa during the 2004/05 season. He first joined Brynäs ahead of the 2013/14 campaign and remained loyal to the club after returning from stints in the KHL and Switzerland in 2019.
The appointment brings Scott back to his roots while starting a new chapter in hockey as a coach in the BCHL.
