La Commission électorale nationale indépendante a déclaré Envuluanza, candidat du Congrès des progressistes (APC), vainqueur de l'élection sénatoriale partielle de Nasarawa Nord. Le candidat du Parti travailliste, Labaran Maku, a rejeté les résultats et a appelé à la tenue d'un nouveau scrutin.
