Jordi Martí Galbis défie la direction de Junts pour la candidature à la mairie de Barcelone

Jordi Martí Galbis, porte-parole de Junts au conseil municipal de Barcelone, a déclaré son intention de se présenter à la mairie, défiant ainsi les dirigeants du parti qui privilégiaient Josep Rius.

Martí Galbis, conseiller municipal depuis 2011 et bras droit de Xavier Trias lors de la campagne de 2023, a informé le secrétaire général Jordi Turull de sa ferme intention de mener la liste municipale.

La direction de Junts, menée par Carles Puigdemont, visait à nommer directement Josep Rius, porte-parole du parti et ancien chef de cabinet, afin d'éviter des primaires avant les élections de mai 2027.

La démarche de Martí Galbis ouvre la possibilité de primaires au sein de la fédération de Barcelone, où les règles du parti permettent soit une ratification directe, soit un vote ouvert parmi les membres.

Junts a remporté les élections de 2023 à Barcelone mais n'a pas réussi à obtenir la mairie en raison d'une alliance entre le PSC, les Comuns et le PP qui a porté Jaume Collboni au pouvoir.
