Kevin Colbert joins Ohio State as football consultant

Former Pittsburgh Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert has taken on a consulting role with the Ohio State Buckeyes football program. He revealed the position on the Inside The Game podcast, where he discussed evaluating draft-eligible players. Colbert previously consulted for Colorado State before moving on.

Kevin Colbert, who served as the Pittsburgh Steelers' director of football operations and general manager from 2000 to 2022, announced his new role with Ohio State. On the Inside The Game podcast hosted by Pierre McGuire, Colbert explained that he evaluates the Buckeyes' draft-eligible players and advises them on whether to enter the NFL draft or return for further development. “I do some work with Ohio State, evaluating their draft eligible players and giving them an opinion as to whether they should enter the draft or stay for more development and so on and so forth,” Colbert said. “So right now that’s the only college I’m working with.”
