Willzee, un artiste de Limerick connu pour mélanger rap, folk irlandais et spoken word, a publié « The Tribe » après son premier single « Travelling Man ». La nouvelle chanson se penche sur ses expériences durant son enfance dans la culture des Travellers, revisitant ses années de formation marquées par les traditions communautaires avec une nouvelle perspective sur la responsabilité et le changement. En tant que dernier enfant de sa lignée, Willzee explore comment honorer l'héritage de son père tout en traçant son propre chemin à travers l'éducation, la musique et le leadership communautaire. « Je suis un "TraBuffer" – du sang de Traveller, une éducation sédentaire. J'ai puisé dans mon art sédentaire pendant des années. Il est maintenant temps de laisser une chance au Traveller qui est en moi », a-t-il expliqué. Ancré dans son héritage personnel et ses recherches académiques, le morceau remet en question les cycles de préjugés, notamment l'impact de politiques comme la Commission de l'itinérance de 1963. Le prochain album de Willzee, Deep Tinker, s'inspire de la narration ancestrale et de la musique traditionnelle des Travellers. « C'est comme si mes ancêtres se réveillaient en moi chaque fois que j'écoute cet album », a-t-il déclaré. L'album sortira le 22 mai 2026 via Welcome to the New World.
