The 2026 MLB offseason is nearing its end as teams prepare for spring training in the Cactus League of Arizona and the Grapefruit League of Florida. This year, reporting dates are advanced due to the return of the World Baseball Classic, requiring players to ramp up sooner. Every club will begin workouts during the week of February 9, earlier than typical seasons.
Pitchers and catchers participating in the WBC must report no later than February 11, with position players by February 12. The Los Angeles Dodgers, two-time defending World Series champions, have pitchers and catchers reporting on February 13, followed by the full squad on February 17.

Cactus League (Arizona):
- Arizona Diamondbacks: February 10 (pitchers/catchers), February 15 (full squad)
- Chicago Cubs: February 11, February 16
- Los Angeles Dodgers: February 13, February 17
- San Francisco Giants: February 10, February 15
- Texas Rangers: February 10, February 15
Grapefruit League (Florida):
- Atlanta Braves: February 10, February 15
- Boston Red Sox: February 10, February 15
- Houston Astros: February 11, February 16
- New York Yankees: February 12, February 16
- Washington Nationals: February 11, February 16
Exhibition games will follow reporting, with the Astros, for example, opening their schedule on February 21 against the Nationals at CACTI Park in West Palm Beach. The spring will feature a mix of intrasquad games, exhibitions, and WBC preparations, including an Astros matchup against Team Venezuela on March 19. After breaking camp, teams return for Opening Day on Thursday, March 26, marking the start of the regular season.
