South Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom joins FC Porto

South Korean midfielder Hwang In-beom has signed with Portuguese champions FC Porto on a three-year deal. The 29-year-old joined from Feyenoord for 4.5 million euros, with the move announced on July 21.

FC Porto announced the signing of Hwang In-beom on Tuesday. The club paid 4.5 million euros to Feyenoord for the midfielder on a three-year contract with an option for a fourth season.

Hwang has played across seven countries since debuting with Daejeon Hana Citizen in 2015, including stints in MLS with Vancouver Whitecaps, Russia, Greece, Serbia and the Netherlands.

He has earned 76 caps for South Korea and appeared at the 2022 and 2026 World Cups. At this year's tournament he scored and assisted in a 2-1 win over Czechia, earning Player of the Match.

"I am very excited to sign for FC Porto," Hwang said in a club statement. "If we give everything in every training session and every game, we will be closer to success."
