Steelers assign jersey numbers to new roster additions

The Pittsburgh Steelers have given jersey numbers to three recent roster additions ahead of training camp and the preseason.

Cornerback Daryl Porter will wear No. 27, punter Aidan Laros will wear No. 38, and wide receiver Joaquin Davis will wear No. 89. The assignments were confirmed by the team and apply through the remainder of the offseason.

All three players joined the roster earlier this month. Laros was claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Porter returns for a second stint with the team after appearing in one game last season. Davis previously worked with offensive coordinator Brian Angelichio in Minnesota.

The numbers may change after the preseason concludes. Pittsburgh is scheduled to report to training camp on July 28.
