Teen convicted of assault after parking lot fight

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl have been convicted by Örebro District Court for assault following an incident in a parking lot in Askersund in March 2025.

The boy is sentenced to 40 hours of youth service for assault. The girl is sentenced to 30 daily fines of 50 kronor each for minor assault.

According to the ruling the girl confronted the victim and struck him with an open hand. They had previously been in a relationship. She then hit him in the head with a PET bottle.

The court deemed the girl's actions to constitute minor assault.
