Ten Swedes in Europe remain without contracts for 2026/27

Several Swedish hockey players based in Europe still lack contracts for the upcoming 2026/27 season. HockeyNews has compiled a list of ten such players with varying levels of reported interest from clubs.

The list includes experienced defenceman Fredrik Claesson, 33, whose most recent club was Dynamo Moskva. Reports indicate possible interest from Traktor Tjeljabinsk and Shanghai Dragons.

Other players featured are forwards Johan Sundström and Eric Engstrand along with defencemen Adam Rundqvist and Jakob Ragnarsson. Ragnarsson is reported close to a return to Almtuna IS in Sweden.

Twins Ponthus and Pathrik Westerholm, both 34, are linked with IK Oskarshamn. August Tornberg has confirmed talks with Boden Hockey while Adam Reideborn may head to Germany according to Bild.

Hampus Falk completes the group. All ten players are currently without confirmed deals for next season.
