Three wanted men deported from Egypt

Three Swedish men, internationally wanted for serious crimes, have been arrested in Egypt and deported to Sweden. The men are aged 25, 33, and 50, and were apprehended earlier this week. Police express satisfaction with the international cooperation.

Three Swedish citizens, who have been on police radar for international warrants, were arrested in Egypt and recently deported to Sweden. The men, aged 25, 33, and 50, are wanted for, among other things, gross weapons crime and arson. Two of them have already been sentenced to prison: one to five years for arson and gross weapons crime, the other to two years and five months for gross weapons crime. The third is suspected of incitement to attempted murder, drug crimes, and extortion.

The arrests occurred earlier this week, according to police. Anders Wiberg, head of the international unit at Noa, comments: "They are Swedish citizens and have been on our radar for a while. So it feels very good." Deputy National Police Chief Stefan Hector adds: "We collaborate with more and more countries to get Swedish criminals arrested when they are abroad and we are very satisfied with that. We are grateful for the work our Egyptian counterparts have done in this case."

This case highlights the growing international police cooperation to handle Swedish criminals abroad. The deported men will now be dealt with by Swedish authorities to serve sentences or face trial.
