A UL bus caught fire at a parking area in Alunda on Sunday afternoon. Rescue services say the blaze was likely caused by a lightning strike amid a rain and thunderstorm affecting the county.
Marie Nordahl, operations manager at Storstockholms Brandförsvarsförbund, described the incident as a total loss. She said it is a guess that lightning caused the fire and that the bus would be towed from the site.
Rescue services were wrapping up the operation at 16:30. No one was injured and the initial risk of spread was averted.
The rain and lightning storm caused several problems in the county on Sunday.
