L'équipe d'athlétisme de l'University of Akron invite les étudiants à une rencontre en salle le 20 février

L'équipe d'athlétisme de l'University of Akron accueillera l'Akron Annual Invitational le 20 février de 16h à 19h à la Louis and Freda Stile Athletic Fieldhouse. Les étudiants peuvent assister gratuitement avec leur Zip Card, l'événement proposant un mélange d'épreuves de course, de saut et de lancer.

Le programme d'athlétisme de l'University of Akron, qui compte environ 80 athlètes étudiants, affiche un solide palmarès en compétitions en salle. Kendra Reimer-Gonzales, directrice du programme, a souligné l'attrait du sport. « L'athlétisme est un sport unique car beaucoup de gens n'ont jamais vu certaines épreuves comme la perche ou le triple saut », a-t-elle noté. Elle a également décrit l'ambiance : « C'est un super événement. La musique joue tout le temps. » La rencontre proposera des épreuves de course, de saut et de lancer simultanées. Les spectateurs doivent acheter leurs billets à l'avance pour 10 dollars via le site d'Akron Athletics, sauf les étudiants de l'UA qui entrent gratuitement avec une Zip Card valide. Les participants accéderont à la salle via le Student Recreation Center, avec des places assises dans les gradins. Aucune buvette ne sera disponible pendant l'événement.
