Yankees recall Spencer Jones after Aaron Judge injury

The New York Yankees have recalled outfielder Spencer Jones from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following an injury to Aaron Judge.

Jones was summoned as the corresponding move when Judge was placed on the 10-day injured list with a stress fracture of the first right rib, retroactive to Tuesday. This marks Jones's second opportunity in the majors after his initial call-up on May 8. In 10 games during his first stint, the 25-year-old Jones hit .167/.259/.167 with two RBIs. At Triple-A this season, he has recorded 13 home runs and 48 RBIs in 43 games. Manager Aaron Boone noted that Jones's earlier experience proved valuable. General manager Brian Cashman added that more reinforcements, including Jasson Domínguez, are expected soon as he continues a minor league rehab assignment.
