Le ministère des Travaux publics (MOP) du Chili a signé dimanche l'adjudication d'un nouveau service sanitaire rural à San Ignacio, dans la région de Ñuble, permettant à 281 familles de bénéficier d'eau potable en continu. Ce projet fait partie de sept chantiers en cours qui permettront d'approvisionner 444 foyers ruraux dans la région. Le seremi Luis Carrasco a décrit ces avancées comme un changement concret dans la vie des habitants.
Residents in Visby and surrounding areas are urged to continue boiling drinking water after parasites Giardia and Cryptosporidium were detected in the municipal supply. The recommendation was introduced in early December and is expected to remain in place over Christmas and likely until the end of January. The parasites can cause stomach illness and diarrhea.
