SK hynix posts record Q1 operating profit of 37.61 trillion won

SK hynix reported record Q1 sales of 52.58 trillion won and operating profit of 37.61 trillion won ($25.42 billion) on Thursday. The figures marked year-on-year increases of 198 percent in sales and 405.5 percent in operating profit, driven by strong AI infrastructure demand. Net profit also hit a record 40.34 trillion won ($27.3 billion).
Korean chipmakers Samsung Electronics and SK hynix are ramping up memory production to meet surging demand from artificial intelligence (AI) servers. Industry analysts said on Sunday that production capacity is increasingly seen as a key determinant of competitiveness in the global semiconductor industry.

SK hynix a dominé le marché mondial de la mémoire dynamique à accès aléatoire (DRAM) au troisième trimestre 2025. Selon le cabinet d'études Omdia, la part de marché de l'entreprise s'élevait à 34,1 %, conservant la première place pendant trois trimestres consécutifs malgré le resserrement de l'écart par Samsung Electronics. Les ventes mondiales de DRAM ont bondi de 30 % par rapport au trimestre précédent pour atteindre 40,3 milliards de dollars.
