Le secrétaire de cabinet à l'Agriculture, Mutahi Kagwe, a dévoilé un plan gouvernemental visant à faire passer les revenus des petits producteurs de thé de 59 shillings par kilogramme en 2022 à 100 shillings d'ici 2027. Il a fait cette annonce jeudi à Embu lors de la publication du rapport 2025 sur la performance de l'industrie du thé au Kenya. L'initiative comprend un prêt concessionnel de 3,7 milliards de shillings pour la modernisation des usines.
