14-year-old shareholder questions Deutsche Bank at annual meeting

Daniel Erb, 14, addressed Deutsche Bank's annual meeting in Frankfurt and posed concrete questions about the bank's strategy.

The student from the Taunus region addressed participants at the meeting in the afternoon. He introduced himself as likely the youngest attendee and asked whether the bank would target European small and medium-sized companies as well as Asian investors with platforms for infrastructure and energy transition projects.

Norbert Winkeljohann, the meeting chair, thanked Erb for his analysis. Chief executive Christian Sewing expressed interest in speaking with him. Vice chairman Fabrizio Campelli later exchanged contact details with the teenager and took a selfie with him.

Erb has invested independently in stocks since the age of twelve. This year he attended two annual meetings for the first time.
