The San Francisco 49ers are weighing a travel adjustment ahead of their Week 11 game in Mexico City that could prevent them from setting an NFL record for most miles traveled in a season.
Kyle Shanahan said the team plans to practice in Colorado Springs the week before facing the Minnesota Vikings to acclimate to the high altitude of 7,350 feet. The move would follow their Nov. 15 game against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10 and cut total travel by 1,321 miles compared with returning home first.
