Alexandria completes 93 percent of Decent Life projects

Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reviewed progress on rural development projects in Alexandria during a meeting on Tuesday. The governorate has finished 173 out of 193 projects under the Decent Life initiative.

Alexandria Governor Ayman Attia reported that the completed projects are located in the Borg El Arab centre and cover nine villages. This brings the completion rate to 93.14 percent, with the remaining 20 projects now in final stages. The governor also noted that 93.32 percent of building reconciliation requests have been processed. Under Law No. 144 of 2017, authorities recovered state lands in 76 percent of 2,672 cases. A single window system for public shop licences opened in April 2026 at the Chamber of Commerce headquarters. Officials inspected 98.60 percent of spatial variables recorded through the end of May 2026.
